Kent Buccaneers to Offer FREE Youth Sessions Throughout 2021!

It is with great pleasure that Kent Buccaneers announce the expansion of the organisation by adding in an affiliated youth program to assist in the growth of our club and secure a future generation of players for the club. This is a huge accomplishment and the club’s Management Committee have worked extremely hard in putting this program together in such a short period of time, therefore all credit is due to our dedicated volunteers.

The youth program will be named ‘Kent Buccaneers Youth Academy’ and the focus will be on engaging with the youth of Hadlow and the surrounding areas, including but not limited to Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells,  Maidstone. We are hopeful that this will be a great success and attract many young people to come and try a sport that will allow them to learn new skills and make friends along the way, but most importantly, have fun and enjoy playing Baseball.

The coaching staff are Philip Jones, Mark Miller and Christian Carter. Additional coaches are due to be announced when the youth program is running. All coaches will be DBS checked prior to carrying out any coaching within the youth program. Lead coaches will complete a Safeguarding course through NSPCC. Youth training sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings between 4:30pm-6:30pm at Williams Field, Hadlow, TN11 0HQ.  * Please note that once we have enough youth players registered, we may divide the sessions based on age group to ensure each child is given the correct focus and attention by our coaches. *

Friendly games will be arranged on Saturdays wherever possible. Once the players have a competent knowledge of the game, we will look at the possibility of entering leagues so that the children can play competitive baseball.

This brand-new youth program is completely FREE to parents of potential youth players. Any child between the ages of 4-16 are welcome to come along and join!
